Since the very day she started at ALKU, Jess has gone above and beyond in every way possible, serving as the go-to person for any and all complex Client Operations and Cash issues. She is meticulous and detail-oriented, exploring all avenues for solving a problem. With her excellent communication skills, she is an incredible trainer and can explain the why behind everything the Cash Team does. Her most significant and impactful contribution stems from an issue that ALKU’s Cash Team had suffered from for over seven years before she tackled it. When tasked with revamping an extremely manual, time-consuming, and complex remittance, Jess took the initiative to create reporting on platforms, custom canvas reports in Bullhorn, write code and script in Excel, and make a master spreadsheet that solved all of our problems with the click of a button. What once used to take eight hours to complete, now takes eight minutes – and this is just one of the many examples of how Jess makes ALKU better every single day,
A true definition of leading by example, Jess has run multiple company and pillar-wide meetings, as well as going out of her way to present financials to the Client Operations Teams to help spread education of processes. She actively participates in VTO events that benefit animal shelters, homeless youth, and underserved families of Lowell. In her new role, Jess will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Cash Management Department, ensuring the accurate and efficient application of incoming payments to the correct customer accounts, minimizing payment discrepancies, reconciling bank accounts, resolving payment disputes/discrepancies, and improving efficiency and automation to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded correctly in ALKU’s accounting system. Congratulations, Jess! We are so excited to see all you accomplish in this new role!
“I could not think of anyone more deserving of this promotion. Since the day she started here at ALKU, Jess has consistently gone above and beyond her daily responsibilities and goes out of her way to help others in any way that she can. Over the past four years, I have had the pleasure of watching Jess come out of her shell, push herself outside of her comfort zone, and find her niche within the Cash Team. Her contributions have made a significant impact on our team, and I have no doubt she will continue to excel and inspire others as she takes on this new role. Her passion to keep improving and never give up will take her extremely far in her career, and I can’t wait to see what she does next!” – Cash Reconciliation Manager, Devon Cassidy
“JESS!! From the day we started training together, I knew you were something special. It feels like just yesterday you were serving tables, looking for a job where you could utilize your love for numbers. And here you are, just four short years later, an absolute master of your craft. Watching you grow both personally and professionally over the years has been an absolute pleasure. I could go on and on about how your ability to understand and process complex data (and then regurgitate it into comprehendible information for the rest of us to understand) is truly unmatched. Or how your thirst for knowledge and your knack for discovering and solving inefficiencies has brought us to new heights we never imagined possible. But I think what I admire most about you is your undying willingness to go out of your way to lend a helping hand to a fellow colleague. Whether assisting with problem resolution, creating workarounds, or providing mentorship, people know they can always count on you. Your humble and positive attitude makes you a pleasure to work with every day. I have absolutely zero doubts that the Cash Team will accomplish amazing feats under your leadership. Congratulations on your well-deserved promotion, Jessie!! We are all rooting for you!!” – Director, Accounts Receivable & Cash, Monique O’Brien
“Back in 2021, we were still dealing with the craziness of COVID and training Corporate new hires remotely. One new hire that stuck out and made an impression was Jessica Issenberg. Jess was the new hire who was easy to train, as you only had to tell her how to do something once, and she mastered it and improved the process. She has an uncanny knack for numbers as well as a passion for problem-solving. She is tenacious in her problem-solving skills as she doesn’t take ‘we can’t do that’ for an answer – in her mind, there is always a way. Jess is a great trainer and knows how to present complicated information so anyone can understand it. You can always count on her to help, even if it is not part of her day-to-day responsibilities. With all these qualities, Jess is a perfect fit for the Cash Manager role. She has been mentoring the team for a while now, and her work ethic and collaborative approach have already established her as the manager in the eyes of her teammates. Congratulations, Jess, this promotion is well deserved! I cannot wait to see what you accomplish going forward!” – Vice President, Client Operations, Jeanine Morgan
